Museum Island - Entertaining???

While the graphics are intense and take forever to load, Museum Island is more than entertaining, it's educational. With placards placed in front of monuments to inform you about their purpose, their history and their importance, wandering around Museum Island is a pleasant and informative walk.

Focusing mostly on the ancient world, Museum Island's graphics are detailed and provided substance to the monuments shown. At times, even though you are sitting in front of a computer screen, it feels as though you could reach out and touch a Doric column, or an ornate statue - something that is strictly forbidden in the real Museum world. However on Museum Island, there are no stuffy guards, no rope barriers and no one staring at you if you have to cough. While it may not be the L'ouvre, Museum Island provides a good museum experience without having to pay admission. And even though there are well marked signs directing you where to go, you may find yourself getting lost as you wander...there is just so much history to take in. Mary and Maureen give this location 8/10. Graphics were a little slow to load but they were worth the wait.
